STRANGE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT WOODLAND PARK ZOO
WHAT TO EXPECT
Yay! It’s summer! The best time of the year! The sun’s out
and it’s time to go to the beach! Well, at least that’s what everyone is doing.
And then there’s you who can’t decide what to do this summer. Well, buckle up
because I know a fun place that’d be nice to go to this summer. You might not
know this but there isn’t a more interesting and educational place to be in
this summer other than Woodland Park Zoo! Yep, you heard me well. And here’s
why.
Woodland Park Zoo is an award-winning wildlife conservation
organization and zoological garden in Seattle. And unlike your average zoo, it
has designated sections that house different species of animals, like the
Indian rhinoceros, Malaysian tigers, the infamous African lions, and some other
endangered species of animals.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
I bet you’re smiling uncontrollably while reading this
article, already imagining the fun you and your family (or friends) will have
in Woodland Park Zoo. Well, I’d like to tell you that you should be because
there are many fun things to do in the welcoming bioclimatic environment of
Woodland Park Zoo which has now become the natural habitat of several wildlife.
But before all that, there are a few things to know before you start packing
your bag to leave already.
- According to Woodland Park Zoo’s official website, it’s strongly advised that you purchase your ticket online in advance of your visit
- The zoo only opens by 9:30 am and closes by 6:00 pm
- Pack some extra cash! Our friends at Woodland Park Zoo would really appreciate it if you made a little donation to help them continue to protect the endangered birds in their zoological garden. You might not know this but Woodland Park Zoo is a nonprofit organization, so make donations, please!
- Cultivate your taste buds! There are many amazing food courts near Woodland Park Zoo that make amazing dishes. The Rain Forest Food Pavilion is a good example, so I suggest that you cultivate your taste buds so you can properly enjoy these good meals!
GETTING THERE
Now that you’re ready to leave, there’s something I’d like
you to remember. Woodland Park Zoo is located in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood
of Seattle, Washington, United States. This means before everything else you
need to be in Seattle first! Once you’re in Seattle, you can take the steps
below to reach Woodland Park Zoo.
- Board a train or bus if you don’t have a car. That way you get to see the beautiful scenes of Seattle.
- And if you have a car, you can always use google maps to locate the zoo. I also advise that you use the Flamingo parking lot.
